quantity control valve (QCV)

The PWM inlet metering valve used on the high-pressure pump of Detroit Diesel’s APCR system. Its operation controls the pressure supplied to the high-pressure fuel rail.

quill tube

A hardened steel high-pressure fuel line connecting an injector to an external high-pressure fuel line supplied by the fuel rail.
