jacket water aftercooler (JWAC)

  1. A system that uses engine coolant to remove heat from the pressurized intake air.
  2. A system that uses engine cooling system liquid routed through a heat exchanger to remove excess heat from the intake air charge.

jacket water charge air precooler (JWPC)

A liquid-type charge air cooler connected in series with the air-to-air charge cooler. It is used on ACERT engines with series turbocharging.
